Wow I cannot believe it is the middle of October already! The days of summer flew by so quickly and now fall seems to be half over as well... Sweet Miss's big Fall event with the Cincinnati Park Board at Mt. Airy Forest was a great success this past weekend. All who came enjoyed , at long last an afternoon of fall sunshine and free family fun! Our committee is already planning ahead for next year's event planned for Saturday October 25th, 2010, so save the date already!

My Sweet Mister and I spent a solid 48 hours, no lie with little sleep if any at all preparing sweet deliciousness for the fall festival ! Yes, I said Sweet Mister aka Brian, my hubby. He is quite creative and the best creative free helper that I have to date! He is the creative design master behind the fun Halloween cookies this year, as well as the decorating genius behind the custom designed cakes! Needless to say we are bouncing back this week for " Sweetest Day" which is this Saturday! Order your special sweets for your sweet soon, as the baking orders are filling up quickly!

I love this time of year, the air is crisp and cool, the leaves are starting to change and it's time to start thinking about all our favorite fall flavors ! Summer of Fun with Sweet Miss

Dear Friends of Sweet Miss,

This has been quite a busy Summer for Sweet Miss. From one beautiful Cincinnati Park to another , meeting new friends, seeing happy & smiling children enjoying the clowns, magicians, & pirates, watching Cincy Shakes perform Romeo & Juliet, to the huge 54' inflatable outdoor movie screen! What a great way to promote Sweet Miss and to experience our great city! We have had a great Summer, touring the gorgeous parks and enjoying our Cincinnati Daycations! There are several events left, if you have not made it out to join us yet! Movie Night @ Mt. Echo Park, the movie is " Hotel for Dogs" festivities start @ 7 pm Friday, August 14th ! Cincy Shakes will be performing " In Love with Shakespeare" on August 16th @ 7:00 pm at Lytle Park. Also lots of fun events coming up for September, October & November! Check out the website for further details! ALL THE EVENTS ARE FREE! How could you turn FREE away? Great way to enjoy a day or evening with family or make it date night! Lots of Fun this week!

It's hard to believe that July is winding down... but we are closing it out with a flurry of activities this week. As always, Wyoming Farmers' Market Tuesday at the corner of Wyoming Ave and Van Roberts Place from 3pm - 7pm. Then you can find us Wednesday July 29 at Burnet Woods Bandstand for Shakespeare in the Park, provided by the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, beginning at 7pm. Closing out the week, and kicking off August, stop by the Green Corner Market at 6524 Montgomery Road from 10 am - 1pm on Saturday the 1st. Also on the first we will be providing concessions for Mayor Mallory's Neighborhood Movie Night at Owls Nest Park from 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm. The movie being shown will be the family classic, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Please make a point to say hello when you attend these wonderful, FREE fun-time family events, as we truly enjoy hearing from you. Summer is in full swing and this week holds lots of fun things for all to do. Tuesday, July 14th 3-7 Wyoming Farmers' Market, Thursday July 16th 6-8:30 the Everybody's Backyard Picnics is at Owls Nest Park in O'Bryonville 1984 Madison Road free hot dogs, face painting, magicians... Free Family Fun for all. Saturday, July 18th 10-1 meet me at the Green Corner Market in Pleasant Ridge for your veggies and Sweet Miss favorites . You can join Sweet Miss also on Sunday, July 19th 7:00pm at Lytle Park for Shakespeare in the Park for a performance of Romeo & Juliet courtesy of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Sweet Miss will be providing concessions for these events, featuring her specialty desserts ! All the events are FREE! What a great way to spend a Cincinnati Staycation!!! Remember I am always baking and ready to make you something special anytime!

There are lots of exciting new changes to the website, please take a look around and let me know what you think! Sweet Miss will be attending many events around town this summer... Cincinnati Daycations and date night events coming up. Check out the event list. The new dessert premiers next week Sam Adams Double Chocolate Blackberry Truffle Cake! Century Inn will feature this dessert all summer long and it will be served at the events, and of course is always available for you to purchase directly through Sweet Miss.

I am always available to make you something sweet, whether it be for a special occasion or gift, or just because you want something sweet in your life. No order is too small. I am happy to bake for you! 

Sweet Miss is looking forward to the summer season and hopes to see many of her Sweet Miss friends stop out at the events or visit her at the Wyoming Farmers' Market on Tuesdays 3-7 or the Green Corner Market in Pleasant Ridge on Saturdays 10-1.

Happy Third Person Thursday! Melissa says she hopes that it her event at Mt. Echo Park this evening is not canceled due to rain, but rain days are always a pleasant way to rest and reorganize for the next event! Melissa says to stop by and see her this Saturday at Green Corner Market at 6524 Montgomery Road in Pleasant Ridge. We will be sampling all varieties of biscotti this week !

Greetings to all of my friends and neighbors. I've created this blog as a way to stay in touch regarding all of the community events that I am involved with this summer. There are a lot of great, and FREE, things to do this season and I'm looking forward to seeing you all out and about, enjoying the sun and making the most of these wonderful days.
